We Believe in:

 

The Bible

The Holy Scriptures, both old and new testament, as the only infallible, authoritative and inspired word of God. The only rule for Christian faith and conduct. 2 Timothy 3: 15-16, 2 Peter 1: 20-21

 

God

There is one true God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Acts 5: 3-4, 1 Corinthians 8:6, 1 Corinthians 12: 4-6, Ephesians 4:36

 

Jesus Christ

The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death on the cross, His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right-hand of the father, His soon-coming to rapture the church which is His Bride and His future personal return to the earth in power and glory to rule. Luke 1:31, 1 Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 4: 8-10, Hebrews 1:25.

 

Man

Man was created in the image of God, but the fall and the deprivation of mankind necessitated redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:1-2

 

Salvation

The redemptive work of Jesus Christ (His shed blood, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension) as both efficient and sufficient for the provision of salvation to mankind. Romans 10: 8-15, 1 Corinthians 15:34

 

 

The Holy Spirit

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, in dwell, guide, instruct, and to empower the individual (believer) for kingdom living and Godly service. John 14: 15-18, John 16:7-10, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Romans 8:15

 

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it. Joel 2:28, Acts 2:4

 

Spiritual Gifts

The operation and manifestation of all the gift of the Holy Spirit as made available to the church today for service, edification and comfort. Ephesians 4:7-13, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Romans 12: 4-8

 

Divine healing as provided for in the atonement of Christ and appropriated through the prayer of faith. 1 Peter 2:24, James 5: 14-16

 

The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life. Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 1: 14-16.

 

Future Events

There would be a bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believers to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to the judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. Philippians 1:21-22

 

The Church

The true church is composed of individuals, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. Matthew 28:19, Eph 1:22, Ephesians 3:10.

 

Calling

That in the Ministry, being Divinely called and Scripturally ordained is that which is approved of Almighty God. Acts 13:1-3, 1 Timothy 2:7.

 

Baptism and Communion

Water baptism by immersion after Christ as personal saviour is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to new life. Matthew 28:19, Acts 16:15, Acts 18:8

 

The Lords Supper (Communion) is a memorial service setting forth in a sacred and symbolic manner, the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. All true believers and believers only should partake in it. 1 Corinthians 11: 23-34
